    Hi All,

Myself, my wife and 16 month old will be stopping off in Abu Dhabi from a Tuesday to Friday 7-10 July on our way back to Ireland from Australia.

Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions on things to do while we are there?

We are also going to stay at a 5-star hotel somewhere. Looking at the city centre but open to any advice people may have about a better area to stay or recommendations for hotels that are child friendly.

Thanks in Advance for any advice!

Just to advise you, you will be in Abu Dhabi while Ramadan is being observed. There are a few strict rules in place during Ramadan including no eating or drinking (even water) in all public places like malls etc, no chewing gum, no loud music etc. A lot of the mall times etc will probably be affected and the food courts etc will be closed during the day.

I'm not sure what the story is with hotels etc but I'm sure they're a bit more lenient. The Corniche area is a really nice areas and there's lots of big chain hotels around there that would be good (Hilton, Sofitel etc). Can't really advise you on things to do as I'm not sure where will be open during Ramadan.
