Just wanted to get some opinions on this.
How much of a drop in salary would you take to get a permanent contract?

Do you get other benefits that you would not get with a temporary contract?

I looked on their website and they mention a "benefits package" without specifics for some roles. The role I'm going for is through an agency and doesn't mention that but I can only assume the same applies.

Permanent roles may have medical insurance, life insurance, bonuses, pensions etc that temporary roles won't have.

Aside from that I wanted to see what drop in their take home pay people would be prepared to take. I have interviews for a temp and permanent contract and the difference is quite substantial. Enough that if I take the temp contract and live on the permanent salary amount, I would have enough left to live on for a while if it doesn't get extended

From daily-rate contracting (ie the real sort where I'm paid on invoice, and pay my own employer PRSI and manage my own tax) - 50%.

    From temp-contracting as a fixed-term employee, 20%
