What class on what service?

    Is there anywhere that indicates what class of train is operating on what service, preferably in advance, but even in real time?

    For example, the Irish Rail live map on the website indicates the A908 has left Maynooth for Kilcock, but does the number indicate anything about what type of train it is?

    TIA.

    No its the service ID which brings up data about the train such as reservations, on board pa and control use that id also.

    Intercity
    A = scheduled service
    B = extra/specials Service

    D = Dublin/Cork commuter services
    E = Dart
    P = Portlapise commuter

    Ok, thanks. Does anyone know what intercity services are regularly run with commuter stock? These are what I'm trying to avoid.

    09.00-Dublin-Sligo and 18.00 Sligo-Dublin Sundays
    Longford commuter services
    16.38 Dublin-Rosslare and the 05.40 Rosslare-Dublin daily

    Don't believe anything else is scheduled

    never take that for grantid though. 29s could turn up at any time. the evening down the morning down and the lunch time up were the less likely. of course things could have changed recently.

    I'm very highly educated. I know words, i have the best words, nobody has better words then me.

    From 25 May, some trains on the Dublin-Belfast line will be operated by CAF C3K/C4K trains rather than normal Enterprise sets.

    Monday-Saturdays:
    Ex-Belfast: 06:50, 12:35, 18:05
    Ex-Connolly: 09:35, 15:20, 20:50

    Sundays:
    Ex-Belfast: 11:05
    Ex-Connolly: 14:00
