    I'm after getting an interview for Lidl for the store assistant role. Now the interview is in the Bewleys Hotel on Friday week so I presume it's going to be a group interview? Just thought having a series of interviews for a standard role is a bit much no?

    Anyway I understand should I get the role I'll be understood the work very hard and long hours which is fine. Anyway tell examples of questions asked in interview and what starting wage is?

    I don't hink it will be a group interview. Store Assistant's interviews take place in hotels quite often.
    You will most likely be interviewed by an SOM (Sales Operations Manager - like an area manager) and Store Manager.
    I would expect a standard interview. Be prepared to talk about your own LIDL experience (visit the local store, see what you like and dislike about it).
    I would probably try to convince them that:
    ***I am flexible regarding hours (you might be working from as early as 5 am and finishing as late as 10.30 pm). Some Dublin stores have night shifts for "packers" as well, but it is rare. You will most likely get the initial contract for 10 hours only, keep that in mind, but if you are good you can quickly get that increased.
    *** I am very hard working and PRODUCTIVE (I can work fast).
    *** I can work well under pressure

    Prepare yourself. Think of situations in which you have proven to be all the above.
