UX research: how do you find out about gigs?

Hi all

Not sure if this is ok to post so mods please feel free to delete or move.

I am doing some research for an app design i'm involved in and was hoping that some of you might be able to take 2 minutes out of your time to complete this really short survey on how you find out about gigs.

Trying to gather data on the use of smartphones for gig/event planning, from researching new bands through to booking tickets etc.

If the survey is too much trouble perhaps a discussion on whether you use your smartphone for this would be more acceptable, and if you already use any third party apps to do this that info would be great too!

Ha thanks, i have already done a good competitor analysis of whats already out there. iTunes and Google play Reviews also give a good indication of what each app is currently doing wrong!

There are 2 main apps that do something similar, i wont name them. But both have their flaws according to the masses. Ticketmaster is good but only for tickets and entertainment.ie has too much going on. it's not specifically catered towards gig goers.

I'll put an infographic together from the data collected once i've got enough!

It's hard trying to find people to complete it though to get the numbers up to get some good quantitative data though! I've posted links on Facebook and Twitter also but its moving slowly!

Would love some discussion on the subject too to get some more qualitative data if anyone has any input on the subject of mobile/online use when it comes to researching, planning and booking tickets to events
