A NCT re-test needs to be done on my car in 2 weeks and I am trying to solve two problems with my car. Can someone provide a list of forums or any other sources of information. I am driving a Nissan Primera

Its a 1.6 hatchback 2004. First problem is a jammed seat belt in the middle back seat. Also my back right light has a damaged circuit board or damaged wiring

Thanks Interslice already a member but will have a look at those links. Bit of a pain that you cant post a topic on it

With regard to the rear light. I just had the same problem on mine, oddly enough rear right too. What I did was get someone to stand on the brakes for you and unplug the connector on the back of the lamp. Then put it back on slowly. When it got to about 99% home it all worked. I left it that way and bolted it back together and it's still working two weeks later. It won't fall out because it's a fairly tight fit anyway. Make sure someone is standing on the pedal as you're pushing back on the connector. May not work for you but it's worth a shot.

There are a couple of manuals there with large file sizes. Are they all for my car and which one would be for the rear seat belt?

Wow keithg89 really! Ok its worth a shot. Just to recap I need to turn the engine on first? Then get someone to keep the brake peddle pressed down while I unplug the wiring then plug it back on slowly and not clip it in fully?

You should be able to get the brake lights lit up even when car is off (may vary with car model).
If not then turn key to first position, engine doesn't have to be on.

keithg89 that worked on my lightw :) How did you suss that out??

Glad it worked for you. I figured it out when I took it apart to strip it and noticed it lit up when I was plugging it back in. I'd say it's a bad earth somewhere but it's not worth finding to be honest. Mine is still working so I'm happy.
