Hi. I've a car here that needs a good few jobs done for NCT. Needs 4 tyres, tracking done, a wing mirror. Car is 15 years old and I couldn't be bothered fixing it up. I heard there's people that will come on and give me a hundred or 2 for it for scrap. Does anyone know some who will take this car in the munster area?

Needs tracking done aswell. In total it'd probably cost 300 to pass a test but I dont want to waste money on it. Also don't want to be dealing with idiots on donedeal, I just want rid of it really. Just rang hegertys in Limerick, they offered 100e a tonne. Not sure it even weighs a tonne

What car is it? If it had a fresh NCT you could be getting decent money for it. 300 in, sell for 800 could be a good way to go. All depends on what it is I guess.

If all it needs is tyres , tracking and a wing mirror,

Get some cheap part worn tyres, and have it tracked at the same time.
Go to a scrap yard and get a second hand mirror.

Then pop off and get your NCT cert and sell it on.

Your car will be worth a lot more with a fresh cert.

So the only thing that is actually "wrong" with the car is the wing mirror? You could easily pick up one in the scrap yard for very small money.
Tyres and tracking are routine service items.

Fix it, NCT it, sell it. That is the best option to make a few quid out of it.

Lads I don't want to put the money or time into fixing this or testing it. Its a VW polo, the one with a boot. Worth about 600 with test? I'd just prefer someone that I know will take it with cash. Hate dealing with idiots when trying to sell a car so I think scrapping it is the easiest option. Unless any of ye are interested ;-)

I actually have the mirror, just needs to be put on again.
