Can't buy songs/apps on new IPad

I was able to do it last week but when I've tried today to buy a song from itunes or even download a free game, nothing works. I have restrictions turned off. I've turned it off and on again umpteen times. While I was on the live chat with Apple Support, I was able to buy a song and download it but almost as soon as the chat ended, I was back to square one.

Anyone got any ideas what the issue is? I click on Buy (Or Get for free items), enter my itunes password and then nothing downloads.
