    Hi,
I am really enjoying reading Cosmos by Carl Sagan which is fascinating, informative and simple enough to read on a commute but is obviously way out of date when it comes to certain aspects of knowledge.
Is there a similarly accessible book anyone could recommend which touches on similar areas of astronomy, history, science and space exploration but is more up to date.
    Thanks,
    AlanG
