I want to get a copy of all the transcripts that i have with upc. How much does this cost? They are saying it will cost 6.45 per call. There are 3 i am interested in in particular so i actually have to pay 19-20 euro?

Contact the data protection commissioner, he's the man who decides the reasonableness of any fee payable on foot of a s.4 request. The standard is €6.35. My reading is that this would be €6.35 per request as opposed to per record.

I always phrase these requests to place maximum awkwardness on the other side.
Please advise if you wish to charge any "reasonble fees" up the statutory maximum amount of €6.35 and I will arrange to have same discharged by postal order.
Chances are when they see what their postage will be, let alone the man hours involved in complying, they don't come looking for the money.

Is "reasonble" Joe Duffy speak? :pac:

    Very good phrasing, though.

Mention the statutory 40 day limit for responding, ask for a number of categories of documentation you *know* they have and then request some which they *probably* have.

Don't ask for 3 calls, ask for 'any and all personal data relating to you including (but not limited to) transcript of phone conversations'

That should be 1 access request. You usually have to write to their data controller to make the requests.

PS I wouldn't believe the 'support' interpretation of the Data Protection rules.
