    Hi

I filled an arch-way between two rooms with a stud wall

Its been a couple of years now and as expected the plaster is cracking at the junction where the stud wall is attached to the block wall

Whats the best way to fix this ? would it be worth getting it skimmed again or just filled?

the crack is at worst 4-5 mm wide and at best hairline

We are going to paint it again.

    Cheers

    DT

5mm isn't just a crack has there been some movement?

Once your happy both are secure, scrape out the crack and about 30mm either side. Put in a layer of scrim then plaster up with joint filler, profin etc...
