Knocking Noise

Hi, maybe someone could point me in the right direction with this. 08 Citroen dispatch with 120,000Km on clock. Over the last few weeks I have noticed intermittently but getting more frequent the following. When taking off in 1st when the clutch bites I get a knock. When I change up and down through the gears while driving no knock. When I press the clutch to come to a stop I get a knock. When letting the van roll to a stop, say when coming up to lights, clutch pressed in and van in gear there can be several knocking noises until the van stops completely. When the van is parked I can press the clutch up and down as much as I like and get no knock until I select a gear and it knocks when clutch bites and van starts to move. I dont know is this a clutch problem, engine/gearbox mount problem or suspension problem. Now I do know the anti roll bar has been rattling for the last 6 months but this noise has only come on in last 2 weeks. Stumped where to start looking.

It sounds like a mount alright, as the knocking is only heard when power is transferred from the gearbox. That jolt would be enough to upset a bad mount I would certainly get it check out.

Forgot to mention if I let it roll to lights out of gear clutch up I get no knock, let it roll to lights clutch down and in gear I get the same knock as when starting off, which is different to the rattle of the Anti Roll Bar.
