Renting Land

I have rented a farm for 5 yrs and there 's one year left. One of the gates at the roadside, leading to one of the fields, has disappeared (stolen, I presume). This has to be replaced as I cannot put cattle in the field. Who should pay to replace the gate ~ the man who owns the land or me ~ the person renting the land from the landowner?

If you put it in you can take it with you.

are you hoping to take it for another 5 years? If so it might do you no harm to throw one up? But I'd imagine it's the landowners job to replace it

Either way put it up yourself and take it away whether its in a few months time or 5 years time.. no fooling
Mention that fact, that you own and put into place.
    dont presume
