Have a pair of nude coloured suedey wedges and they could do with a clean - how do I do it without damaging them?

I've gotten suede cleaning spray in Schuh before (I'm sure other shoe shops and even supermarkets have something similar). You spray it on and it foams up and then you wipe it off with a clean cloth. I've only ever used it on black suede shoes but they come up good as new again. With a lighter colour you'd obviously have to be more careful I'd try and keep dabbing off the foam with clean, dry parts of the cloth to avoid spreading any dirt to other areas. Maybe try it on a small area first to make sure it's not going to damage them.

Also, if the pile lies a bit flat after cleaning them you can get suede brushes to brush them up.
