VO2 max test as a health screening

Some insurance companies cover these as long as its a health screen. I suppose in a way they are. Anyone ever claimed back money on one of these. Was just talking with aviva that they cover up to 100 euro per annum. I don't know if it needs a referral or what.

Any of the ones I've looked at offer the likes of this or ECG Stress tests as optional extras on top of the basic health screen package, at a hefty price. I'd be surprised if any of them would just do a VO2 Max that the insurance companies would be happy to co-pay.

VHI do not pay for them. The standard health screening tests perform cardio tests, and I figure that the VO2 test is seen to them as more a luxury as opposed to a general healthy check.
