Portable PA System

Hey I'm planning and hoping to get my own paid gigs starting this summer. Although I don't have a pa at the moment or even a car.

What ideally I would like to have is a rig that is small, simple but still decent enough for gigs in pubs. Also very portable since I won't have my own car to bring it in.

I'm just a singer/guitarist. I play acoustic stuff. I have a loud voice, although I don't think the output on my guitar's pickup is very loud.

To be honest I'm fairly new to this. I have played only at open mics but I feel it's time for me to starting to trying to get something out of it. So any advice would be greatly appreciated.
