We have just completed a new build , fixed price with a builder.
Gas boiler,rads,3 zones (upstairs, downstairs, water) solar panels.
We also installed stove with back boiler. This was not specified in tender but was outlined to plumber at start of build (ie no retro work)and builder has come back with a figure of €1200 to plumb/install
Is this excessive?I didn't expect a figure is high.
    Grateful for any advice

Just to be clear is the €1200 for labour only to plumb and install the stove. If so yes that is excessive

Yes. They had on extras list "install system link for back boiler"
Would I be correct in saying that they would need a system link to zone the system anyway even if we didn't have a back boiler.. Am in no way a plumber just trying to figure out why figure so high and more importantly if justified. I don't mind paying for it once I'm not be overcharged.
€1200 for labour and piping and system link.

It's probably a heat genie they are supplying which are around 6 or 700 euro plus piping fittings and maybe a flue for the chimney. Not much change out of 1200 quid I'm afraid

Seems a bit cheap to me. They probably went easy on you because they did work in the rest of the house
