Transferring social housing points from dublin cc to galway cc

    Ive been on the housing list in dublin for 9 years. Im after moving to galway so my question is, do I start from the bottom of the list or will my points be transferred over when I apply to galway cc?

    There are no points anymore, that was done away with a couple of years ago.
    And your time on the list won't be transferred to Galway; you'll have to start from scratch again.

    Well that was a waste if thats the case. Somehow I doubt youre right

    They're right, I went through this recently enough and been told the same thing. If you can, you're better off waiting to get a house, then transfer after while because if you move now, you're at the bottom and the only answers you'll receive are essentially "Tough ****, we don't care"

    Sorry man, just pissed off is all. ****ing waste even going on the list for that long and now im at the bottom. Ah well, thats just my feckin luck
