Folks, anyone recommend a decent spot in MidWest, ideally Ennis Mon-Fri or Limerick/Nenagh Saturdays to get a sweaty-betty aircon scenario looked at?

Praying it's just a regassing/leak repair & regas needed and not the full monte, otherwise I can afford to send the car to France on hols this year, but none of us with it...

I got mine done in a Fast Fit, there should be one in Ennis I think. When you turn the A/C on does the blower get stronger? If it does it probably just needs a gassing, otherwise it could be something bigger.

Thanks, will look. Not noticeably. I've always left the climate control on "Auto" so it maintains a constant enough cabin temp, but not happening lately. In 8 years, I've never switched the a/c on OR off; merely tweaked the temp setting up or down the 18-21 C range. I'm not about to drop serious shekels fixing a compressor/condenser problem on an 8 year old machine.

If you just turn it to the lowest setting with the A/C on is it ice cold? It should be. If it is, it could be the ambient temperature sensors are blocked or something.

Nope, no chilling effect at all. Merely circulating ambient temp air as far as I can tell. Heating effect is still there if I raise temp settings and the blowers seem fine in terms of strength of airflow.

Might just need Gas so, mine cost me €60 to get done in a Fast Fit last week.
