He always sounds like he's having a stroke.

He sounds exactly the same as he always does

    Which I presume isn't drunk!

Why is it always in a pub these days?

Its the same with Dunphy too, who always sounds slightly sloshed, even though he's probably not?

He can't even articulate a sentence!

Mobiles going off in the background, this is a shambles of a show!

    He is well oiled.

I find him unbearable to listen to. I watched the show a couple of weeks ago where Fianna fail and Fine Gael's drugs strategy were presented and he was like a clueless yokel repeating the same words after intermittent 5 long seconds of stuttering while each representative tried making they're points. Nevermind how irritating it is when people cut across each other while speaking.

    "Yeah but .. ah .. eh .. ah .. eh .. ah .. eh .. ah .. eh .. ah .. eh.. I... In.. Inequality !, .. ah .. eh .. ah .. eh .. ah .. eh .. ah .. eh .. ah .. eh.. I... In.. Inequality ! .. ah .. eh .. ah .. eh .. ah .. eh .. ah .. eh .. ah .. eh.. I... Social Inequality .." zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Can't take it seriously with them sitting in a pub.
What genius came up with that idea?

He may have been drunk here too

Ah feck, it's one of those outside broadcasts I went to the trouble of recording?
He'd better be drunk, OP, or you will pay dearly for rousing my hopes.

They never ended for barstaff. Except me. I was working tonight covering other staff who got to go to the Irish Restaurants awards thing. :(

I thought he sounded a little... merry, myself. But it might just him being a social chameleon, given that they are in a bar.

    Passive drinking.

he was in the hotel in Kells last night, seem to be a good crowd building when I drove past at 7. Does he often do these outside shows? (he is on way too late for me)

Thought they gave that all up as a bad idea after Seán Doherty on Nighthawks
