Hall light coming into bedroom ideas?

I live in an old house in Kimmage, it's got the original bedroom doors, the landing light comes in a lot and wakes me up if my house mate is using it after i go to bed. Just wonder has anyone ideas for lessening this?
Have thought the easy ones, less strong bulb and just don't leave it on. Any other ideas?

Pic of the door? Does it have glass anywhere?

No pic, no glass, just the gaps are big in places between the frame and the door, especially the gap between floor and door.

Lower wattage bulb, Maybe a different light shade? Or roll over.

draught snake yes, oh could move the bed too, and good idea on shade. I was thinking more along lines of some way to plug gap between door and door frame/floor, but all good ideas.

Ask house mate to keep light off or put it on a timer, i.e. light will automatically go off X seconds after it is turned on.

Face away from door. Stop looking at floor. :)

    Get a face mask.

    Get a different light shade.

Get brush / foam seals or a curtain for the door.

Be careful of reducing the output of the light if it is near steps or a stairs.

Change bulb to red, it'll will be less irritating (and more sexy).

You just need draught seals. Woodies etc would have a wide range, all different widths.

As pippip suggested above, or try AllRooms on Upr Liffey St for one of these http://www.amazon.co.uk/Draught-Excluder-Window-Energy-Insulator/dp/B00BLGZOCG I saw them in there recently for €2.50 reduced from €5.00.
