Will I get Arranged Finance if I'm self employed?

    Hi guys,

Just wondering if anyone here could advise me on a car financing question.

I'm about to start up my own business and will need to change from my own car ( a standard saloon) to a light van (ie VW Caddy or Citreon Berlingo etc) and as my own car is quite old the trade in would be about €500.

I've not got enough cash to fork out a few grand so unless I find a very cheap van (under €1k) I'll be looking at financing. The kind of terms I've been offered would be €500 from me €500 trade in for my own car and the rest on finance but my concern is that as I'm going to be self-employed this could be an issue?

To be honest I hadn't intended upgrading for another couple of months but my own car has failed the NCT retest and since I'll be trading on in a couple of months anyway I decided it would be best to just go for the trade-in now rather than fork out another couple of hundred to put my car through the NCT again as I doubt it would see much of an increase in the €500 trade-in already offered.

I've no idea about any of this financing stuff as I've never had to do it before so I'd be massively grateful for any advice you could give on the issue.

    Thanks!
