Just a heads up regarding the census, got a reminder this morning, but had it done online so I phoned them.
Apparently there's a problem with the online so everyone may do it again via the post.

tread careful here, .... make sure the return by post and the online are the same... just saying like

I did mine on line as well last year. I rang the helpline afterward, and asked them was it possible to send me a automatic email to confirm receipt, just like if you booked a airplane ticket. I was told that they couldn't. It would be to complicated and mean redesigning the system that would do that

Yes it would need some extra coding to go alongside the stuff that's there.

But sounds like they should do an overhaul anyway

I assume this mean you cant view what you submitted online either?

I'm pretty sure it was visible o agfood for a while after I submitted it, but someone came on a few months back and said they couldn't find it. I wonder what happened to our data...

It's too late now but I think everyone should take a screenshot of completed applications and email to themselves. I do this and while it mightn't be worth a damn it can be used as proof in future disputes etc.

I agree that an email to an applicant should be generated when any complete application is received on the Agfood system. I don't accept that this would require a complete system redesign. The whole Agfood site is clunky and unclear as it is and seems to be in the techonological sense held together with twine and duct tape.

Dad got a postal reminder this morning and he wouldn't have returned his online.

Got the reminder in the post as well, beginning to look as if all sheep men are getting one.. Posted the original but had a copy ( I copy everything I send to the Dept..bitter experience..) so I copied the copy and sent it back with the reminder,
