Who is wrong - Amazon or Parcel Motel

Just bought an item via Amazon and had it delivered via Parcel Motel. The item is wrong and is completely different to what I ordered. How do I establish whether the mistake lies with Parcel Motel or Amazon?

Well logically it's amazon who've sent you the wrong thing no?

All Parcel Motel did was deliver it

It's unclear - whatever Amazon packaging was used was completely removed from the item sent. The envelope in which the package was received was one of Parcel Motel's. I have emailed them but no response to date.

With this in mind, surely it's only logical to think parcel motel have messed up - best of luck there though, their CS is virtually non-existent, contemptible even.

Can you give more details? Did you buy from Amazon.co.uk or from Amazon.com? If you bought from Amazon.com was the value of the item you bought high enough to have been noticed by customs?

These are the pitfalls in using that loophole, sounds like PM to me

Emailed Parcel Motel at 9am yesterday morning. They replied at 1 12pm to say that it was their fault and said that they would send someone to come out and pick up the incorrectly delivered item from my workplace today. The correct item was delivered to my Parcel Motel pick up location earlier this morning.

Bizarrely enough when I looked at the envelope again yesterday evening, after PM had acknowledged their mistake, I noticed that the envelope was an Amazon one as it had the Amazon logo printed on it.

I was also charged for the delivery of both items even though I had ordered one. They informed me that they would cancel the delivery charge for one of these (obviously) but I would have expected that both charges would have been cancelled as a goodwill gesture.
