Help! used oven cleaner on gas burners and burner caps

    I have a neff gas hob approx 9 years old and I was cleaning the burners and caps. They were in a bad way with dried in dirt so I sprayed on oven cleaner and left on for about 2 hours.When I rinsed I noticed the burners had turned much darker and underneath the caps there were splash rust marks.
    I am worried now I have corroded the burners and caps and now they are not safe to use on my oven.
    I have checked online for spare parts if I need to order them and came across a site called espares and they stock the parts. They are based in the uk. Does anyone know if they have a good rep?

    Does anyone know if burners and caps are unsafe now or have I made a very expensive mistake!!
