Howdy,

Just a general query on where one might find somebody (websites, forums, advertising pages, what do i search for) to build desk, if design was supplied? And what kind of rates or prices would be typical for this kind of work (labour)?

I havent done the design yet, but it would be a relatively large desk, rectangular, maybe 1.8(L) x 0.9(W) x 0.9 (D), with a raise shelf/press built into one of the legs, though raised off the ground, roughly described in profile below.

The legs would be solid panels.

you probably need to put up more design detail, type of material you want to use, and general location, to get some responses

Cheers, this will be down the line once other things get sorted in the house (painting, decorating, furnishing). Design on the long finger.

Though if anybody could advise on good places to price up solid wood panels that would be great.

There's not a great choice of solid wood panels available , but a cabinetmaker would make them up to suit, Google woodworkers mount tallent avenue for an idea of what's available
