Why is there always a Garda at college green?

    Probably just for traffic (maybe) but either ways, it's only come to my attention now. There's literally always a Garda standing on the traffic island facing away from TCD.


    Why?

    Why?

    At certain times of the day college green can only be accessed by bikes/taxis and buses so they are there to ensure no other cars drive down there.

    You'd think they'd just install a camera to catch everyone who drives down there. Save the poor sod from standing at college green for half the morning.

    The thing about cameras is the self righteous a**holes that think they can drive through the bus corridor can't argue with it !!

    I'd swear the poor Garda has his job cut out for him telling all the Merc / Audi / Jag driving middle-management types they have to drive around the long way :rolleyes:
