    Hi all,
New to this thread :-) . My other half and I have been ttc now for about 8 mts. I'm 43 and already have a 13 year old. Have been using the ovulation sticks but obviously no luck so far. Had my blood done on day 3 with fsh of 11. :-( . Was seriously thinking of doing acupuncture. Had anyone had any luck with it? Really trying to stay positive but finding it bloody hard :-)

We were ttc for 6 months (I was 36/37 and my husband was 37/38) and had no success. I used acupuncture (after we both had our bloods and a semen analysis done) to relax and help.
We now have an 8 month old baby girl. I conceived 4/5 months after starting with acupuncture.

I had my first session yesterday, found it very relaxing. Started the herbs today but bloody hell I am crippled with lower Abdo pain today. Had anyone had similar experience? I'm only cd 8 so doubt its ovulation pain

While my cycle was being regulated I did experience similar pains. After a while my cycle hit a regular 31/33 day routine with regular enough ovulation (I still used the ovulation sticks) and things cleared up.
Actually I carried on with acupuncture post natally to pick my body up after being pregnant. I discovered I was pregnant yesterday and I'm due January 12th 2016.
    Can hardly believe it.

Omg that's wonderful news! So happy for you! Ya lucky duck :-) . My cycles are regular enough so just putting it down to the acupuncture doing its job. Can't believe how sore I am though. You look after yourself :-)

Thank you. I am/ we are a little shocked. It took almost a year to get pregnant with our daughter and really didn't think we'd hit the Bulls eye the first time out.

The acupuncture also focuses on increasing blood flow to the uterus and improving the quality of your periods and other such stuff so making conception and successful implantation more likely.

Marcus Dwyer from the Oriental Medicine Clinic in Lucan is the bomb.
I've gone to Marcus for years for various things and while ttc. I went for some post pregnancy help too and he worked a treat. Now I'm almost 6 weeks pregnant with my second and am still attending.
His number is 087 6882201 and his website is www.orientalmedicine.ie

Hi, usual boards user but new account for this as no one knows we're TTC. I was just wondering if anyone had any luck with acupuncture for implantation issues? We are TTC with donor sperm and have had 4 IUIs and 2 IVFs (one fresh one frozen) and no luck. Not even a positive test or chemical pregnancy. My eggs are there and when we did our fresh IVF I got 11 on Egg Collection. Unfortunately they put one in, unsuccessfully, and only one other was good enough to Freeze (but low grade). We then did a frozen cycle with that one but again nothing. On the frozen cycle we had a hysteroscopy and an endo scratch, with estrogen tablets and progesterone support. At this point I'm assuming it's an implantation issue as everything else was fine, no issues with ovulating and nothing abnormal on scans.

So since we are slowly exhausting all options, we were willing to try acupuncture to see if it could help. Was looking for a clinic in Dublin (preferably North Dublin) that specialises in Fertility issues, if anyone had any recommendations?
