Hi guys I've been lurking here for the past few days as well as everywhere else on there internet for the best build I can afford with my money.

This PC will be used for both gaming and for productivity.
Games are mainly MMOs like WoW, TERA, GW2 as well as some triple A titles that I've never been able to have a fair go at since my build was always lacking.
With this budget I'm looking to get 60 fps with 1080p gaming on near maxed out settings for triple A titles.

I'll be honest this is mainly inspired by builds that seem popular in this subforum but I thought I'd make sure before I buy this some time this week.

You don't need 630w. 500 is loads. After that you're golden. Windows links in a few other threads if you're looking for it

I've never actually done business with hardwareversand. After I pay online how long does the entire process generally take to finish and have the goods arrive if it's tagged as ready for dispatch. Clearly it's a very trusted site since it's what everyone in this forum uses.

Also it says an estimated Shipping cost of €7. Is it really that cheap to ship from Germany to Limerick?

Using PayPal? A day or two to shipment, then a week to here. Shipping is €12. PayPal adds 3% be wary of that.

I was actually planning to use my debit card since it's what I've used to buy my mechanical keyboard online and didn't have issues. Although PayPal is an option if it's the easiest form of payment with hardwareversand, I'm all about making life easier!

Think they only use PayPal and Bank Transfers, could be wrong though

    Cool, I'll use PayPal then.

Digital you've been an awesome help, just two more questions.

The Gigabyte GeForce GTX 970 G1 Gaming, 4GB GDDR5 is a pretty ridiculously long card (longest out of all the GTX 970 versions by about an inch or two). Should I be worried about it fitting inside the case? I'm assuming it's alright since it's an ATX class case but just wanted to check anyways.

And this is pretty silly but I completely overlooked a network card. Does the mobo come with it or will I have to buy a separate one. (I know I should be able to check this but the data sheets look pretty cryptic to me)

Thanks again for all the help!

Be prepared to add €30 then.

It'll fit, case takes up to 13.5" roughly, card is only 12.28" if New egg is to be trusted

Some cheap aul card for a tenner will do, I have no issue with ****e $7 adaptors from AliExpress so have should be okay

That mobo has gigabit LAN built in. Pretty much all mobos have networking built in these days.

I have the Gigabyte GeForce GTX 970 G1 Gaming and you are right that it is a long card. I think it should still be ok in that case - specs for the case say max VGA card length 345mm and that card is only 312 mm long.

Took a guess you need a wifi connection? If wired then you don't need a card, as Luck100 says

Awesome thanks guys! And yeah I need WiFi since it's pretty inconvenient otherwise. If any old thing will do it though I can just salvage it from an older desktop lying around.

My last fear is now just getting the payment through with them. That's something that can be handled some other day though.

This isn't really that big of a deal but if I buy this specific GTX 970 from hardwareversand will that give me Witcher 3 as well as Batman Arkham Knight like it says on their sidebar?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 423 ✭✭Recurve360

Yeah they will, all you have to do is email them for a code after your order is delivered. It may take a few days to get it as their customer service isnt the best but there pretty quick in dispatcing stuff and delivering.
One suggestion is I would run everything through geizhals.de to save you a few quid. Should save 40-50 on that build id imagine. Theres a thread on here about how to use it :)

Thanks Recurve that's awesome to know.

This is my first international bank transfer so I'm a bit shaky about everything when there's probably nothing to worry about.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 423 ✭✭Recurve360

No problem, they take upto 5 days to clear a bank transfer where as paypal is processed over a few hours and can be dispatched same day. They also usually dont send codes until after the parts are delivered but you wil get them, all it takes is a few emails :)

Just curious about this bit. Currently trying AIB International Payments, just wondering if Remittee, Remittee account, intended purpose and Bank code are relevant information or if the B.I.C and IBAN are the only things needed. (ie. there's no option to add remittee anywhere)

Financial institution Deutsche Postbank AG Dortmund
    Remittee: hardwareversand.de GmbH
    Remittee account: 731239469
    Bank code: 44010046
    Amount: 875,64 EUR
    Intended purpose: V2514492-1938011
    for international payment:

    Hi guys, quick update.

I sent out the money to them yesterday, filled out bank name, BIC and IBAN. I'm still waiting for confirmation but it seems like I should have included the intended purpose no.

In the additional information field all I included was

    remittee name:
    customer no.:
    order no.:

Is not having the intended purpose no. gonna cause a lot of complications? Money is gone from my account and I'm not sure what to think atm.

This is what the payment looks like

Update: I rang them there and apparently it's a bank holiday today in germany so they won't get the payment 'till tomorrow or monday. I asked about the intended purpose number and your man just said that they just compare the amount you send to them and match it with your order so it's not mandatory at all. So hopefully anyone searching for answers years from now will see this post as well, did a lot of useless digging last night.
