    Hi,

Anyone got any pics, vids, instructions, tips on how to change the spark plugs of a 2001 Skoda Octavia 1.6. Can't get at the damn things and before I go messing around, I'd love some advice.

    Thanks,
    ChalkItDown :)

When I read your post first I was thinking, sure it's just changing plugs, what's the problem, but according to the link below, 2 & 3 are a bit of a bastard.

Hopefully a bit of help in this thread

i changed plugs on one of these engines in an audi a3.the middle 2 plugs are a bugger to do but it is doable if you have the small universal knuckles, i think thats what they are called and a pair of long nosed pliers with bent tips.also a good point raised in the briskoda thread is to blow out the dirt and debris around the two inner plugs before starting because some amount of crap gets lodged in there. when i took the plugs out of the audi the 2 outer ones were ngk and the 2 inner ones were bosch, so the last guy servicing it obviously couldn't be arsed doing the job properly.the guy that owned wasn't too impressed by that as he told me he had paid top dollar to get it serviced the year before by a garage in roscommon. i was actually sorry i opened my gob and told him as he has a reputation as a bit of a hothead and i had visions of him driving back to roscommon and using his fists to show them the error of their ways.

So, I finally attempted this and completed the work over a few hours today.
The link below shows the engine and points out the difficulties of the job.
