Is the plastic connector not unscrewing?

There isn't a plastic connector its a brass fitting that I turned till it won't turn anymore but the pipe still won't come out - trying to figure out how to post a picture - new user can't post a picture for 10 days and after 50 posts - HOSED!

If its a threaded connector then it should just unscrew. If it stuck then it wouldnt have turned at all.
Do they come as a bayonet connection i wonder?? (Turns quarter then pulls out)

Did you turn the valve off then try unscrew the fitting? You may have expected it to come out after turning the valve. The fitting on the hose side of the valve will have to be unscrewed while taking care not to unscrew the whole valve! That would be v messy!
Pics would be very helpful now!
Drop into after hours for a few mins!!

sorted..the brass fitting was part of the hose and unscrewed the other way - I was obviously tightening it...text from my Dad congratulating me on my success (spellings in situ)
