Let's be honest, I'm an awesome poster

You've probably thanked one of my threads or posts because why wouldn't you? They're all perfectly thought up and articulate to the point you may assume it's Shakespeare typing among you.

I wonder how long more it'll take before I'm asked if I would honour this forum by joining the moderating team. Not that I'll accept, of course. Half the current moderators would be incapable of dealing with their jealousy of my meticulous moderating suddenly taking the forum and trolls by storm and not to mention my new found friendship with the administrators who invite me over for dinner as a gesture of thanks for cleaning up the filth and peasants on the forum.

I will, however, settle for some remuneration for all the revenue generated by the ads that appeared in my countless quality threads. There's no doubt that other posters were so enamoured by me and my threads that they even purposely clicked on the ads as a way of saying thank you and supporting boards financially for allowing them free access to my original content.

I would thank you for reading, but it'll be me being thanked for providing the reading. So...

    As you were.

I think it's good you have a popular online persona. Unlike the actual one you inhabit in real life. We all need something to keep us believing in ourselves.

Thread title has an additional 't' at the end that's no longer required...

Mods, perhaps this can be updated?

    Hi,

I'm currently studying flimmaking and I'd love to do a documentary on a gentlemen of distinction such as yourself. Would you be interested?

Opening scene - camera, tight zoom on your biceps....you curling. Camera zooms back to show your well defined delts and tris. Zooms further back and we can see that you're curling an olympic sized bar. WOW. The audience knows you lift. Zooms out further and we see the squat rack that you're standing in. Further still and we see the gym is crowded, packed to the brim, but you're in your THE ZONE, curling in the squat rack, while some big burly power lifter looks mildly annoyed in your direction.

    The title appears...
'Do you even lift, bro? The true story of a bro who lifted too much'.

Cut to you, at your computer desk. Possibly with a whey shaker. You're typing, you're smiling, your reciting outline, repeating the words, practicing them, like a chief sipping his soup....only your flavor is that of the written word. You're on boards.ie. And you are literally winning the internet.

This will be like Rocky meets Slumdog Millionaire meets the Matrix.

Only if I get to say "I lift things up and put them down" while staring past the camera with glistening eyes and a hopeful smile.

Kind of like this dog, but not looking directly at the camera. The camera hasn't earned the right to my eye contact.

I'm a bit embarrassed for the OP. UCDvet's post was so much better. Kudos to you UCDvet.

Incidentally, are you a veterinarian or a veteran of UCD ? Bet I'm not the only one who wonders.

A feeble attempt at self-flattery in the vein of Pighead. Stop trying, dig upwards, and maybe you can regain some credibility.

Is there a button that does the opposite of thanks, whereby we might be able to deflate the poor lad's ego?

Lmao, you are seriously asking for a completely meaningless button on the internet that can be pressed to indicate disagreement with someone? I'd love to know how deep your passive aggressive traits go lol.

"Oh no, not the 'No Thanks' button...anything but that! My ego can't take that!"

I thanked your post because I'm assuming it genuinely matters to you and would make you feel better. Lol, there I go again being a great guy!

For a guy who is presumably attempting some jokey internet sarcasm (or is just tragically deluded about people on the internets' opinions), he sure let that one fly by.

Why did you post on his thread then, seems like a childish attempt at getting a dig in to me.

A childish dig at you, some random one day old account (Probably a bit soon to be on anyone's ignore list) who didn't start this thread? Yeah, seems likely ;)

You don't care enough to ask who I am, but you care enough to go to the effort to state that you don't care enough to ask. Right.

The aongus bashing on here is funny but kinda sad. People just gang up on him with pot shots and sly digs. He's like an unpopular big brother housemate that gets nominated week in week out but won't be voted off. He's a favourite of mine.

If by "poster" you mean something flat, paper-thin and two-dimensional, then ... sure, you're an amazing poster! ;)

You are the type of what the age is searching for, and what it is afraid it has found. I am so glad that you have never done anything, never carved a statue, or painted a picture, or produced anything outside of yourself! Life has been your art. You have set yourself to music. Your days are your sonnets.
