    Hi everyone I have a dry cow hereford 550kg 5 yr old red and whire,I am wondering what she is worth to sell and should I bring her to a suckler sale or a cattle sale,thanks for any info

    Seems light for a 5 year old cow. Get some weight on her and then off to the factory with her. Or you can sell her at the mart for lads to fatten, good market for them at the mo, she would need a bit of weight though.

    Don't have time to fatten need to sell her soon and replace with cow and a calf to suit my system no idea what she is worth is there much market for hereford

    At 5 yrs old I'm sure someone in a mart will take a chance on her to breed again , if not someone else will buy her for fattening regardless of her breed .
    You won't be stuck with her anyhow if you show her at a mart , maybe get €900/€1000 for her but don't hold me to that !
