Whirlpool AZA8781 heat pump dryer

I am thinking of getting a heat pump dryer. I currently have no dryer, we expect to use it much, so paying more for a more energy efficient product makes sense - and we also save on not having to install n air exhaust duct for a vented dryer.

Still I'd like to avoid spending *too* much. And the Bosch model is slightly under 650 Euro.

But a few online vendors offer the Whirlpool AZA8781. Also a heat pump dryer, but for around 500 Euro.

For some reason it's rated A+ while the Bosch is A++ ; wonder if one can really feel the difference. And in general, is the Whirlpool a good and reliable product comparable to Bosch, or is it some sort of cheap imitation?..

EDIT: Also, what about the Beko DPU8360W? Another heat pump machine and even cheaper, but only availale for delivery from Dublin - so I wonder if the warranty might be an issue of it's needed...

I bought the Beko DPU8360W. It works fine and has a 2 year warranty. I did not have to order it from Dublin, I got it in Rathkeale.

Hi I have just bought a heat pump dryer also but it is taking up to 3 hours on each programme and the clothes are still coming out wet. Do you know anything about these dryers that could help

    - The "up to 3 hours" part is actually normal. They are not very quick. The upside is that they also don't heat clothes much so are pretty gentle.
    - Use the Extra Dry setting, it's the only one that actually gets clothes dry. If they are wet even there, check the manual on whether you might be able to set an increased dryness level (the Beko does have it). And if this does not help either, run it for some time (20 min?) on the timer setting after the extra dry programme completes.
    - Make sure to clean all filters as this can very well affect drying quality
