Just wondering if anyone has had this done and if they found it successful. Had a bad bout of vertigo, took the medication Serc 16mg for a week and it has mostly subsided. However the Epley maneuver has been suggested to me and I'm not sure whether I should have it done now that the spinning has abated - will it bring it back on? Any help would be greatly appreciated

I suffer with chronic dizziness but not BPPV and the violent spins it causes so I haven't had the Epley. As far as I know it's used to manipulate crystals in your inner ear back into place so you won't get short severe spins on turning your head in a certain way or turning over in bed. I've known people it worked very well for and have never heard of it making dizziness worse, but I'm not a medical professional. An ENT who specialises in dizziness is the best person to advise you.
