    Sindaar Sandy 3.05 gowran
this horse loves heavy going. Finished 7 lenghts behind Hans holbien in cork not a month ago and this race doesnt have alot of heavy going horses. Step up in trip wont be a problem and at 25/1 itd be rude not have a couple of bob E/W.

A few I like at Ascot today:

3.45 Ascot - American Hope: Getting towards the last chance saloon with this one, but I am still convinced that he is up to winning a big handicap off this kind of mark. Looks to have conditions in his favor today and if he can get a good tow into the race he can go very close indeed. Also fancy Jallota to outrun his odds at a massive price.

4.55 Ascot - Fyrecracker: Looked to be a handicapper to follow when winning over this C&D on his handicap debut last season, then ran no sort of race at Newmarket next time up. I'd be quite surprised were he not up to winning off a mark of 80 and fits the profile of recent winners of this race.

2.00 Ascot - King Calypso: Progressed massively over middle distances last season and takes another step up the ladder today but no surprise if he still has some improvement in the locker. Still relatively unexposed over this sort of trip on turf and Cam Hardie knows the horse very well, looks at least a few points overpriced for the grossly underrated Dennis Coakley.

Two others worth a mention away from Ascot:

5.10 Lingfield - Mister Music: Tad disappointing in big handicap last time out but this is a far more achievable target, potentially very nicely handicapped on his best form.

4.45 Nottingham - Jamhoori: Indicated that his turn may not be too far off last time out and should go close if repeating the dose and proving as effective in the softer conditions. Does not look to be a great race and I would have expected him to be much closer to the head of the market.

My old pal 3.45 American Hope 12/1 runs today in the Victoria Cup and I think he's primed to run a huge race with conditions to suit. I've absolutely no doubt he has the ability to win this race and I'm hoping the big field can help him settled a bit better at a track where he goes very well.

I also fancy 3.25 Haydock Lexis Boy 14/1 in the Swinton. I thought he ran a very encouraging race on his first start in 15 months at the Aintree Festival when he travelled very sweetly throughout the contest and was bang there jumping 2 out before either he got tired or perhaps didn't quite see out the 2m4f trip. It was a highly encouraging run after such a long absence and the handicapper has dropped him 3lb for the run. Well handicapped on old form, he'll relish the soft conditions today and I think he's got a really big chance in a wide open contest.

They're either getting American Hope handicapped for Royal Ascot or else Shane Kelly is the biggest gob****e of all time. He went off 100 million miles an hour from the front into a headwind.

Lexi's Boy beaten never went a yard.

Was an unfathomable ride given how the horse travels so well through his races.

Quickly becoming a massive cliff horse for me, been following him religiously for 12 months now and only have the place money from when 5th at the Royal meeting last year to show for it.
