Seriously... Is it just me or is the Nova breakfast show horrendously cringy. The banter is way too scripted.

I agree. Far too much fake 'banter' which isn't genuine or funny and not enough music.

Also what's the "story" with the nova voice over guy... Cringe. Reminds me of local radio for meath, Louth, Kildare, Dublin and Wicklow!!

Are they still diing voice overs with an "american" twang..../

They lease out their voice overs to a guy in the states. Its because the station is rock (typically regarded as American), which is also the reason their marketing car is the hummer

I can't stand the channel. They play the same songs over and over and every time I turn it on its Pat Courtney. Also the way the voice over ads is annoying using loads of effects.

It's a dreadful show from start to finish.

Also, jukebox hero!? Who the hell cares? All the 'oh who will win today? I'm going for 3 in a row' etc. is terrible. Talk about contrived banter and competition.

What's worse are the people who actually text in. If I wanted to hear a song I'll just put it on Spotify or something. Fools.

I've stopped tuning in. Far too much unfunny waffle.

You can't stand it yet you keep turning it on? Why do you keep doing that then?? Simply listen to a different station? It's not rocket science.

Always thought of trying Rocket science....seems to be the answer to everything.......:P

The thing with Nova, not just the morning show is that I don't think they know what kind of station they want to be.

They have jingles saying that they don't play Rhianna/Adele/Britney, then they'll play Duran Duran...who for me are just as poppy as the girls mentioned.

A few months ago they had tickets to win for Roxette :eek:

If they are a rock station, then play rock music.

If they are a pop station, then play pop.

Cut out the inane "wacky" banter, play some decent music (I know it's my opinion..)

I don't listen as much as I used to,mainly going in and out of work when I'm flicking round the stations.

Sunday night when Pat James is on is the only time I really listen now.

Now they're doing a thing where listeners can call a special number and give their opinions, the ones I've heard all think Nova is the best station on t'wireless...not one bad one..:rolleyes:

Back when they were doing test transmissions I thought we were onto a winner with Nova, but endless Coldplay,Billy Idol,Duran Duran,Phantom Planet, and the same songs over and over have made me stop listening as much as I used to.

There's a decent radio station in there somewhere, I just wish they'd let it out..

Breakfast show must be losing listeners - judging by the amount of promos for it throughout the day
