Hey! A friend and I are hoping to work for the coming ski season after we graduate from college in september. I've been doing some research and read countless threads along with talking to some people from college who've done it before.

I've come across some websites with job listings but its mainly chef work or hotel management. I'd ideally like to work as a chalet host or just a receptionist or hotel worker.

Any advice on good companies to go with or advice on trying to organise it yourself would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks,

    Niall

Give highlife.ie a shout if your looking for a host job. Tough work but it's great fun. For the English companies you'll need a uk national insurance number and possibly a bank account. These are easily got.
Or else just pick a resort and go out early and try get a job. This can work out a little tougher as you'll have to find your own accom etc but can also be more fun.
    Any Q's just ask.

    Hey Karl83,

I've been looking for employee reviews of Highlife company before I submit my application to them.

Can I pick your brain on a few things? :)

When did you work for them?
What role did you have and what is the average salary? (I presume it is low as they include accom etc in the working package, but is it enough to live on or even possibly save a bit too?)
If there was say, a family emergency - how accommodating are management to allowing time off for trips home?
As the season is Nov-April, is everyone required to work over Christmas or allowances made to some to go home (not hugely pushed but as I've been away for the last couple of Christmasses I know my family would appreciate me being able to be home this year)

thanks a mill, any other info you can provide that you may think relevant would be great :)
