That could happen in the second and third worlds...

Substitute jeans for plastic bags and ditch for well.

Because my basic needs are met, and I am burdened with human nature, my mind moves onto "higher-level" problems to worry about. So I feel psychologically uncomfortable because I don't meet the high-standards and criteria which are considered necessary by myself, my peers and society in general to be entitled to feel good about myself.

There are plugs and hair straighteners but just so they can chew them apart for the copper and other such stuff.

Enda Kenny is taxing my water. Does he expect me to travel to a well everyday?

EDIT: This doesn't happen anymore but when I was a child I was forced to eat all of my dinner just because some African child was starving. To this day, that logic still confuses me.

A problem that has existed since the dawn of mankind, a problem that we as a species have not been able to conquer, even after reaching the depths of the oceans and the surface of the moon. My finger breaking through the toilet roll.

When I am driving along in my new car and I indicate to take turn but the turn is only a slight one and the indicator doesn't turn itself of so I must move my finger a few millimetres to manually turn if of. That really annoys me.

My number one problem is that people keep saying "You take X for granted. People in the Third World would be lucky if they even got Y".

Am I supposed to devolve or something?

Just like that time I went to the shop to get some Grana Padano but they were sold out and I had to settle for Parmesan.

Isint the Second world all those countries in Europe and the former USSR which used to have Communist governments ?

Still makes more sense than the terms "developed country" and "developing country" though.
    Damn you Met Eireann

I'm surprised no one has complained about their slave needing to rest or something racist like that.

And that adds another one to my list. When someone creates a thread with so much racist potential and there's no craic at all.

Today's first world problem for me was that I just reseeded the lawn and now it needs plenty of watering. And now that it is so warm with feck all rain I have to manually water it. So today i got a sprinkler and by the time I got it set up to hit all the corners I didn't feel like cooking dinner, so I just ordered some Italian.

There's a fifty euro note in my wallet. It's out of sync with the rest of them. I was in a rush when someone handed them to me so i just stuck them in without correcting it. It's both upside down and back to front, in relation to the rest. But my wallet is on the table on the other side of the room. And my laptop is resting on my lap, charging. But the charger is a bit dodgy. And if I move it so I can go a turn that rougue fifty the proper way. I will have to fiddle about with my laptop charger for at least fifteen seconds before the little charging light explodes into life again signalling that all is right again. It mocks me, that fifty. As does my laptop. I know now how Ghandi felt on hunger strike as his country tore its self apart through civil war. I finally understand. The sense of hopelessness. Of there being no real answer. It haunts me.

Use a big ball / handful of bog roll... Although you then block the toilet...
