    if i update the app on Android and try to play videos over 3g it constantly stops and starts.but if i revert back to before the update it works fine.

    Anyone know why?
    I know the obvious answer is don't update it but it keeps reminding me to.

    Is it trying to play the videos in HD by any chance?

    Good suggestion but no it isn't. I don't think it would play them without the update either if that was the case.
