    I think I've mentioned this on this board before, but listening to some classc rock this evening I was reminded of my encounter with a lady wearing a Kinks T-shirt in a bar one night. Drinks were flowing back and worth, the craic was good, and I took my chance and went for the kill.

    'So you walk like a woman and a talk like a man?' says I

    BANG! She whallops me and out the door!

    What has been your worst put down or faux pas when things were going so well?

    Reminds me of a similar encounter. He was pretty clean cut and in the darkness of the pub I didn't notice his tshirt. So we were chatting away, all going well when someone in a slogan tshirt walked past that we scoffed at. Then he turned and belowed at me " DO YOU WANT TO SEE A NUN MASTRUBATING?". I was totally shocked, rooted to the spot, I said what and he repeated it. I looked horrified I imagine and he realised I had no idea what he was talking about but instead of explaining he just kept saying "oh my god, I've frightened you haven't I can't believe I just that ". So at that point I just stumbled away from him as fast I could, told my friends and we left .
    Only next day when I was telling a friend about this weirdo I had met and the conversation we'd had the night before he said "was it the guy in the Cradle of Filth tshirt or was he pointing at him? ". Seems there was someone wearing a tshirt by that band featuring a mastrubating nun at the party, may even have been that guy himself but I had no idea. egiven the context of the conversation he was probably trying to point it out to me instead of inviting me to partake of some weird porn fetish as id thought in the moment. I still remember the panic on his face as I recoiled from him in some degree of disgust and horror and silently left . :-)
