if you read the bottle of whatever spray you have then it will tell you how many hours it has to be dry after spraying. from memory I think if was something like eight hours recommended or kill wouldn't be great. prob just too risky in showery weather.

Common to spray on early morning dew/damp as lets you knock water rate back and go for a finer ie. smaller bubbles as coarse(larger) lands and runs. Most sprays re rain fast 30mins later they just protect them selves from people being silly as long as the weather is drying. Is the active contact or systemic? as in being herbicide actually just needs to hit plant rather than coat like some fungicides. Add i a sticker for good measure if concerened

Most I ever got away with was spraying furze with Grazon 90 one Sunday evening, got hit with unexpected heavy drizzle around 6pm with half a tank to go. F'd and blinded my way through it, but it killed everything it should have. Think I only had washing up liquid in with it at the time.

That said, if there were even the chance of showers I wouldn't go spraying, the above was me getting caught out by an event that wasn't forecast.

Sprays are dear enough to have to buy the once.
