    Hi there,
Can anyone recommend some Irish trad musicians who could play the church music for our wedding in Cork July 2016?

Ideally we would love a group including some uilleann pipes.

    Thanks very much

Oh it is hard to get Uillean pipes me thinks now a days. I know the main piper isn't he is cobh sorry his not he is in Galway, Eugene Lambe you could ask him does he know of any bands around Cork...

That or I have the names of two people at home who would just be singers if it is any good

You could try asking around Cork School of Music. A relative of mine found the trad musicians for her ceremony by advertising there.

    Hi There

here are a few that I highly recommend
    Kieran Ryan lives in Blarney
Donal O Caoimh lives somewhere in the greater City area
    Dan O Callaghan West Cork

Donal runs the Cork Pipers Club
you can contact him at "donal @ corkpipersclub.com"

I have no doubt that he will help you and supply contact details of the others if needed

Arundó are a group based in Cork, they use Uileann pipes and do plenty of weddings. I think they play in Counihans every week on Pembroke St, can't remember what day though. There's also a group called Pure Blarney who I know only my name but you could check them out too.

One of the bands was Charlie and the boys I don't have a number but they play in the Venue Bar in Ballintemple and I must say they are great... Might be worth checking out.

The other chap was just a one man show Sully very intertaining

I have arundo booked for my wedding , I'm hoping they're as good as I hear they are !! Check out their website & if you're interested, they'll send you out a cd of them playing to give you an idea. I'll check back in a few weeks when it's all over and let you know how they were !

Thanks everybody for your help and replies. It's genuinely appreciated. Unfortunately Arundó are already booked for our date.

I'm sure they'll be brilliant at your wedding summer_chic. I've heard nothing but good things about them.
