UK Sky Card

I have a UK Sky card and it will not work on my amiko alien 2. But it will work on my sky HD box with no subscription. Is the Sky card married to the Sky box or am I doing something wrong. Tried all frequencies old and new for Motors TV but still no joy.

A sky card wont work in an amiko alien.
