Sky box recordings - send to USB stick?

    Apologies for the stupid question :o. Is there any way of transferring a recorded program from a Sky + box onto a USB stick?

    No they are encrypted recordings and only playable back on a sky box and to the card the recordings are originally recorded with

    You may in some instances be able to play the recording on a sky box and record it to a dvd using a dvd recorder but this will only work with certain equipment.

    Anything recorded on the sky box is encrypted. Technically you can, but it's more hassle than it's worth.
