    Jean Byrne. Carol Kirkwood.

How utterly, ridiculously awesome would it be if both were encouraged to appear together on television?

Go on, chat show staffers. For the greater good I urge you to do this.

    :D

I liked that Frances dude on Sky before they did away with proper weather reports. No homo. I just liked his 'I don't give a monkey's' attitude...he spent half the time off-screen with big pauses.

    He was great.

Awe Francis, my mum loved the pants off him back in the day.

Interesting fact just found on wiki .....

In 1979, Wilson was invited by Ian Anderson to contribute to the Jethro Tull album Stormwatch. He reads the Shipping Forecast on the track "North Sea Oil", and the spoken introduction to "Dun Ringill".

So he's a Rock legend as well as meteorological master? Is there anything he can't do!?

I loved that guy, he used to crack me up...he couldn't have given less ****s.

Lisa Burke in the early 00s, she kinda disappeared off the radar...

Nothing like the days of Martin King doing the weather over on TV3 when he looked half cut a lot of the time

Probably related to what I mentioned earlier i.e. Sky ditching actual forecasters in favour bleedin Kay Burly droning on about it getting wetter then a bit drier then maybe a bit sunny.

Basically any of the beours on TG4 weather. And Audrey McGrath from RTE. Together. Naked. On my face.

    What was the question again?

They still have Jo Wheeler from time to time.
A testament to modern mummification techniques.

I used to have a thing for Sian Lloyd (ITV) back in the 90s/00s.

I'd say she's pushing on now though.

Oh yeah, forgot about her. she must just work the weekend shift? Or a forecast here and there? I don't recall seeing her during the week, not recently anyway.

I don't care how good-looking other weather girls are. Any weather lady who quotes Carl Sagan automatically wins.

Jean Byrne has gone downhill tbh. She was fairly ridey three years ago, but lately she's gone a bit cumulonimbus with a soft front approaching from the south.

he encouraged Lisa Burke to go into doing the weather too and so ....... made the world a brighter place

Lisa was always academic and studied at Cambridge university, where she graduated with a first class Masters degree in Natural Sciences and Chemistry. She was ranked second in the university.................

and was encouraged by her then current boss, weather presenter Francis Wilson to join his team.

    Load a balls.

Weather forecasting is a load of sh1te, watch the birds and the bees and you can forecast yourself a day or two ahead. But that's it. Meteorology is the snakeoil of the modern era.

Francis Wilson was cool as ****. Such a relaxing laid back soothing voice and demeanor. If I were heading for impending death and Francis was narrating it, I'd probably be chill.

She just presented the farming weather now and she was wearing dark rimmed glasses. Looked like a science nerd. Don't suit her at all.
