Hanging framed photo partially above radiator

I unfortunately have to hang a print about 50cm above a radiator as there is nowhere else suitable. Only 1/4 of the 90" wide (!) frame will be directly over the rad. If I just cover the section of the radiator that will be directly underneath with a towel or something, will that avoid any long-term heat damage? The frame…
