Photography course with the Irish photography institute is no where near 500! I have bought that one myself. 150euro http://www.iop.ie/courses/shortterm/one_day_beginners.htm

Admittedly skydiving is more expensive....280 euro for course and 1 jump. http://skydive.ie/product-category/training-static-line-jumps/
