English (HL) Confusion - The Comparative Study using 2 texts

I would like the option of being able to only use 2 texts in my comparative.

Some questions specifically state "at least two of the texts" which is well and good as it clearly gives me that option i.e 2010 (A 1.). Others on the other hand are very much unclear as they state "of the texts you have studied" or "from the texts you have studied" or "in each of the texts you have studied" i.e 2010 (B 1.).

Does anybody happen to know whether answering with only 2 texts for these more unclear type of questions is acceptable? Is the use of 3 texts necessary and expected? Is there a way of me finding out this information?

    Any help is greatly appreciated.
    Thank You!
