Hair Colour

I just applied a bottle of hair colour for the first time in ten years. I'm loving the colour BUT I seem to have either missed a few spots/didn't leave it in long enough. My shortish head of hair is pretty much coloured at the top but my original colour at the ends and underneath.

So my question is do I leave well enough alone or will I apply the rest of the bottle to the bits i've missed.
